Rare fishing bygone. Large Antique wire caged double-ended fisherman's Minnow Trap for catching small fish to use as live bait. Good condition. Bread was placed inside the bottle and it sat on the river bed on its side. The fish swam in to feed via the hole in the base. When it was pulled up they get trapped in the outer ring at each end.  They could then be tipped out via the spout.

Examples with the extra wire protective cage are much harder to come across.
