18th Cent English Lark Roasting trivet

This is a fabulous piece of early Inglenook Ironwork. It is typically English in style  with its delicate petal feet, cross stretcher and beveled ring top. It has the original oak handle and brass ferrule. The rare adjustable Lark Roasting fork extends up and down as well as swivels round allowing for a kettle or similar. Every detail of this item shows it was made by a master blacksmith being carefully shaped and beveled. I have shown it with a large iron kettle in place but it would have had a roasting pan when cooking birds.
