These were originally black lacquered so we have hand scraped and polished and they now look great. This is a pair of nicely made Gothic style Carver chairs for around 1900. Quality Elm seats in good condition. Lovely and wide so they don't cut in when you sit down. Very striking design. Seats sit a standard 18 inches off the ground.
