This is a rare Georgian Potato Rake. Potatos were thrown into the hot ashes of an Inglenook fire. This item was used for turning them over and scooping them out once baked. The spike end could also be used for stabbing them to pick them up. Rare downhearth tool dating from around 1800. First one I have ever had in over 30 years!
