Early Inglenook Mechanical Spit

Wonderful early Inglenook Clockwork spit in overall good condition. These were attached behind the lintel beam, a pully system thus turning the meat. There would have been a weight on a section of cord that hung from the wooden spool. This provided the power to turn the mechanism. The windmill sails etc all turn nicely and it appears to be pretty much intact. There is some worm holes to the wooden spool however this is all sound and firm and has been fully treated by me. I would think that with a bit of effort and ingenuity someone could get this functioning again. Shout if you need accurate dimensions.
