Antique Shepherd's Leg Crook. Initialled G F on the Ash shaft. Ball end to base of Ask shaft.

Heavy, strong head probably for a larger, stronger breed of sheep. Knob/finial end more typical of North Norfolk heading across to Lincolnshire region.

The Leg Crook was the everyday walking crook used by the shepherd on a daily basis and designed to catch the sheep in one swift action at the top of the leg.
