Rare Barley Sheaf Fork

These large Barley Stooking (Sheaf) Forks have almost all but disappeared now and found only in museums. They were used in this part of East Anglia to move the large sheaves of Barley which was a taller crop than it is today - hence the size. They are one of my favourite old farm impliments being so sculptural and from such a different era.
