Victorian Taxidermy Corncrake

I rarely buy and sell items of taxidermy but this Corncrake really caught my eye.

Beautifully mounted this Victorian stuffed Corncrake is in it's original case.

Foliage and bird are very well done and setting artistic.

The case has slight chips to the gilding which can easily be touched up though I have left it as it looks good as is.

The Corncrake has virtually disappeared from England and Wales and can now generally only be found in parts of Scotland and Ireland.
