Antique Kitchen Copper Beating Bowl

Quality antique kitchen copper beating bowl. This would be held in one arm (thumb through the loop) and the eggs or cake mix etc would be whipped inside.

This has just been cleaned and is in very nice condition. It has been made from one piece of copper which has been hand beaten by a copper smith using a hammer and then rolled over a steel rim. You can just see the tiny facets of the hammer marks. Later bowls would have been machine spun. It comes with a useful brass loop for hanging on a kitchen wall. The bowl is pristine and clean inside and out so could still be used.
