Antique Horse 'Coaching (or baiting) Sieve' so called because they also hung in the stables of old coaching inns.

Made from bentwood and Norfolk reed. Condition good for it's age.

Horses are allergic to dust in their food (bait). Oats had to be tossed to remove the dust using these sieves before they could be fed.
