Antique, French White Ironstone, Butcher's Advertising Mixing Bowl with spout.
This mixing bowl was likely to have been produced as an advertising item for a butchers shop. Made of stoneware, the glaze has a creamy-white tone to it. Around the top rim is some clear black typography. On one side, “Charcuterie elaborée à partir de porc fermier plein air”, meaning outdoor bred farmer’s pork. And on the other side, “L’héritier du goût” which means the heir of taste.
This large mixing bowl is a large and useful size with a pouring spout on one side. No cracks or chips.
