Large, Shepherd's Clucket Bell

I am selling four good bells out of my own museum.

Here we have an exceptional, 19th Cent, English Shepherd's Sheep Bell of very large size. All original wood yoke and hand carved hardwood Lockyers in original early paint. The paintwork is unusual being of old white paint. The bell itself is 11cm at the mouth and 16cm at the hood. There is some original evidence of the brass coating. Bells like these are now becoming increasingly hard to find in such good original condition. The yoke and and Lockers would all have been hand carved by the shepherd. The bell would have been Tinker made and usually purchased at the sheep fairs. I kept this bell because of its size and original paint.
