Fine large size 19th cent Shepherd's Clucket Bell on original yoke. The bell measures 6 inches across and has a very large (original) clapper.
There is some evidence remaining of brass on part of the bell. When these were first made they were coated in brass to improve the resonance. This wore off quickly with use but sometimes some of the thicker blobs remain.
The yoke is wonderfully rustic and old. I think it is something like Blackthorn but can't be sure.
The shepherd owned the crook bells and lantern whereas themaster owned the flock etc.
