Antique Shepherd's Leg Crook.
Delicate and well balanced head. Single swirl design with a flat back more typical to the region of East Dean in West Sussex though I cannot guarantee that this particular crook is from that area.
The Leg Crook was the everyday walking crook used by the shepherd on a daily basis and designed to catch the sheep in one swift action at the top of the leg.
