Antique Shepherd's Leg Crook.
Deep sweeping cast iron head. This style of crook very much caught on from the 1920’s onwards however I think this one is nearer 1900 as it has an earlier less manufactured feel. Typical pinched flat finial.
Not generic to any part of the country.
The Leg Crook was the everyday walking crook used by the shepherd on a daily basis and designed to catch the sheep in one swift action at the top of the leg.
