19th Cent English sheep bell. Note, the shepherd owned the crook, bells and lanterns, whereas the master owned the flock etc.
This is a Clucket bell and innate to the southern parts of England. The bell measures 3. 1/4 inches at the mouth. It has its old wooden yoke with evidence of some paint too. It has well made wooden lockyers and its original clapper. There is evidence of the original brass coating which improved the resonance but rubbed off easily.
