Dimensions:
Fine mid size 19th cent Shepherd's Clucket Bell on oak yoke. The bell measures 9cm at the mouth and has it's original clapper.
There is some evidence remaining of brass on part of the bell. When these were first made they were coated in brass to improve the resonance. This wore off quickly with use but sometimes some of the thicker blobs remain.
The yoke has remnants of old green paint. The wooden pegs or Lockyers are hand-carved too and all antique leather.
The shepherd owned the crook bells and lantern whereas the master owned the flock etc.
