Shoes and boots made of brass were often used as good luck mantle ornaments over fire places etc. This pair is particularly nice in that the boots have good pinwork detailing and stand on 3 dimensional bases. These have come out of my own collection. I have polished them so well I had trouble photographing them with the refelection!
