OIL ON BOARD - A cow on the heath

Artist Gerard Altmann dates 1877 to 1940 was a typical Rotterdam painter. His works are considered to be the Late Hague School, second generation. Altmann worked from 1904-1940. Mostly he painted polder landscapes with cows and sheeps; other subjects are harbour scapes, portraits, still lifes and interiors.
This painting sold for £600 in the 1980s!!
