This is a superb, and most unusual solid brass door porter (door stop) dates from the early to mid 1800s. Wonderful definition in the casting. The Mayflower ship (marked MAYFLOWER) is on stylised waves over a sea of dolphins. Marked ENGLAND but no date mark. Very heavy, so good to use, and excellent patination.
