Rare 19th cent Stagecoach folding Pocket Lamp in superb condition.
These lamps were carried by the passenger in their pocket. They unfolded and could be used as lighting inside the carriage.
The candle holder pulls down. The candle is sprungloaded so only the top shows as it burns.
The top lid of the lamp folds up revealing a useful hanging hook. There is a match strike on the side of the lamp. The front glass guard folds upwards and has a clip to hold a notebook in place.
The condition is excellent and would make a great present for a man.
