Early, English, Wall Mounted Candle Box in wonderful original black japan paint. Really very, very good condition. Early candles were made of tallow which could go mouldy, hence these tin boxes were sometimes filled with bran in amongst the candles, and then hung in the inglenook to keep them dry.
