Fine 19th Cent Farmhouse or Shepherd's Lantern with single horn window and decorative punchwork (thousand eyes) that also lets the light out. Large size (marked size 8). Once upon a time, it had red paint but just a bit still remains on the base. It still has its original candle holder too. The socket below the handle allowed the lantern to be placed on a pole which likewise could be pushed into the farm hurdles etc
