Antique Wedding Tool

I am sure this must be some kind of weeding tool. There is a mark on it but it holds no clues. The socket end is very much in style with some of the garden hand tools. I imagine it is a dual purpose weeder, the end section for something like Daisys and the rest for Dock roots but someone might know better.
