I rarely see these but if I do, they are generally an East Anglian item. This early Hog Scraper or Pig Scudder is made from a hoof and blacksmith ironwork. Very much a primitive country or folk item. Used to scrape the hairs off a newly killed pig, once it has had its bristles singed by rolling it in a bonfire.
