Such a lovely small Harvest Barrel or Costrol, probably used for a child as of small size. Made from Oak with all iron fittings present. Drinking hole to mouthpiece with Oak cork and air hole.
The whole family went into the fields to collect the harvest, Children generally drank a watered down fruit wine or similar.
