Antique 3 Tine Tree Fork. These were grown specially by pollarding trees and shaping the sapling by cross bracing the branches with tied wood battons until the tree was large enough and of the required shape. (See John Seymour : Old Farm Tools). As they were one piece of tree they were strong and light to use. This one has the name Jeanet scratched on to it.
