19th cent Shepherd's Turnip Knife, blacksmith made, west country. Used to cut the turnips when frozen into smaller chunks for winter fodder. Turnips were piled in heaps in the corner of fields but could break a sheep's teeth if eating them in large chunks when frozen. The hook end was for picking them up.
