19th Cent English Elm Farrier's box with iron handle.
Great example and ideal display piece for plants etc. Made from a mix of woods including Elm and possible beech. There is an original leather strap at the back where the hoof paring knife could slip into. This box was absolutely black when we bought it. It has been treated with caustic and bleach to kill any worm and bring it back to this honey gold colour.
