This is a rare, copper Brewer's thermometer in excellent condition. Circa 1890/1900. The mercury is intact and working. The scale goes from 60 to 260 degrees.
The brass thermometer holder slides out and is marked clearly with the maker's name. The base of the copper stand has a hole so presumably the item could stand upright in the liquid being measured.
